Construction activity requires, with few exceptions, a permit issued by the city and certain inspections conducted to assure compliance with these codes. The City Secretary / Administrator is also designated as the City Building Official and oversees the building permit and inspection process.
For building inspections, the City uses independent inspection services; A-1 Building Inspections and the Bureau Veritas (click for contact information).
Building Permits should be submitted to and obtained through City Hall. Request for inspections should be made through Greg Hollen, the City Secretary / Administrator, who will submit the request to the approporiate building inspection firm.
